Dr. Putu Liza Kusuma Mustika (‘Icha’):

Dr Mustika (‘Icha) has her interest in the management of marine mammal tourism and its governance, including the economic benefits of the industry as well as social construction and appraisal of tourist experience. She is also interested in the conservation and management of whales and dolphins in developing countries in general. Currently living in Bali, Icha obtained her PhD from James Cook University in Australia. For the last 1.5 years, she helped Conservation International Indonesia building the Marine Protected Area Network of the Bali Province. Together with her colleagues, she is establishing Indonesia’s marine mammal stranding database website (launched in early 2013). Click here for her publications and thoughts.
